remain in our school until they are five years old. For a child's emotional
security we require all children to attend for at least 2 sessions per week.
Recreation
The children have access to a large, well maintained outdoor area and a
secure, fenced garden. We also have an allotment adjacent to the school,
for our exclusive use.
Activity Club
During the school holidays the school holds a "Fun Club" which
caters for children up to the age of seven, siblings and friends are
also welcome. Further information is available on request.
Our Aims and Objectives
The staff at The Chilterns Montessori School aim to provide a secure,
safe, happy, stimulating environment where all the children can
purposefully and constructively learn and acquire knowledge through
their natural interests.
We promote the Montessori philosophy through our emphasis on ample
opportunity for practice and repetition of the use of self-correcting
Montessori materials, combined with guidance by the teachers, based on
observations of each child's needs.
Our objectives are to fulfil the necessary legislative criteria whilst
retaining a peaceful and productive classroom atmosphere in which each
child can realize his or her own potential at his or her own pace
without fear of failure.
